Anychem announced that they launched a UL2485 certified eco-friendly and recyclable waterproof coated paper called Eco Circle. Anychem’s eco-friendly waterproof coated paper was developed under the academia-industry collaboration with Professor Jae Young Jho of the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Seoul National University. Manufactured by the extrusion coating method, it has excellent waterproofness, high heat adhesive feature and container formality. Anychem used a special compound of micro calcium carbonate particles distributed on polyethylene, and the product was proven for its recyclability by the evaluation result from FPInnovations, a UL2485 certified testing laboratory.
Anychem’s new product, Eco Circle is expected to be widely used for take-out paper cups, paper trays for fast-food restaurants, and paper bags. Patent registration is in South Korea and application for international patent is also being prepared.
